Supply Technologies announced a $50 million investment in infrastructure, systems and automation, including robotics.

Included in the upgrades is a new 375,000 sq ft distribution center in Union, OH. The $20 million DC will support Supply Technologies’ global network of more than 70 locations, including 46 in North America, by reducing inventory duplication, streamlining product flows and supporting growing demand from emerging markets such as AI data centers — a segment that has expanded from virtually no revenue two years ago to approximately $150 million annually.

“We were a company that threw people at problems instead of considering integrating new technology to help solve the problems,” President Brian Norris told Industrial Distribution. “Therefore, we are changing out our ERP system and moving from a very old and antiquated ERP system into SAP 4HANA for all locations.”

Warehouse processes are also being modernized, with a shift from paper-based ticket-picking to digital tools, including scanning and voice-directed systems.
