Bulten CFO Anna Åkerblad has resigned. She has served as CFO of Bulten since 2021 and will remain in her role until the end of October.

“My time at Bulten has been a fantastic journey, culminating in the comprehensive structural transaction that was recently completed,” Åkerblad stated. “The company is now entering a new strategic phase, and I feel that the timing is right for me to move on to new challenges.”

Her departure comes as Bulten enters a new strategic phase.

In early October, Bulten divested its European automotive fastener facilities to Maelir AB. The transaction includes two sales and service companies in Sweden and Romania and four factories located in Hallstahammar, Sweden; Bergkamen, Germany; and Bielsko-Biała and Radziechowy, Poland.

The divestment reduces Bulten’s annual sales by 38%, cutting 1,000 employees from the payroll.

The transaction follows the Swedish group’s announcement in July to cut capital costs and refocus towards distribution and value-added services.
