NORMA Group reported sales fell 6.8% to €821.7 million (US$948.2 million) in 2025, hurt by negative currency effects and general market weakness in truck production and the construction industry. Adjusted EBIT dropped 80% to €6.3 million as high personnel costs, and special costs for logistics in particular, impacted earnings and margin. Adjusted EBIT margin declined to 0.8%.

In February, the company sold its Water Management business unit to Advanced Drainage Systems for US$1 billion. The business unit consisted of several subsidiaries with a total of six plants in the U.S., Mexico, India, Malaysia and Italy as well as additional sales and distribution locations. The business unit’s workforce comprises around 1,100 employees, primarily in America and Asia.

“With the successful divestment of our water business, we have now laid the foundation for New NORMA,” stated CEO Birgit Seeger. “In a persistently difficult market environment, we managed to close out 2025’s financial year in-line with our forecast and the measures taken to enhance efficiency are delivering first results.

“A debt-free NORMA Group with a strong balance sheet, and a clear strategic objective, is ideally positioned to serve as a stable and reliable partner for our customers, employees and investors – even in challenging economic times.”
