ITW reported lackluster results in its fastener segments during the first half of 2026.

Six-month Automotive OEM segment sales, including fasteners, increased 2.8% to $1.68 billion, including a 0.6% drop in organic growth. Operating income totaled $358 million, while operating margin improved 100 basis points to 21.3%.

Second quarter Automotive OEM segment sales increased 1.3% to $857 million, all on currency translation. Organic growth fell 0.4%. Operating income totaled $180 million, while operating margin improved 30 bps to 21.6%.

Half-year Construction Products sales, including fasteners, rose 3.9% to $952 million. Operating income totaled $286 million, while operating margin was flat at 30%.

Q2 Construction Products sales climbed 4.3% to $494 million. Operating income totaled $151 million, with operating margin rising 160 bps to 29.3%.

Consolidated H1 revenue increased 5.1% to $8.32 billion, led by double-digit organic growth in Welding and Test & Measurement and Electronics, alongside a strong performance in Polymers & Fluids.

Consolidated Q2 revenue gained 6.1% to $4.3 billion. Organic revenue grew 4.5%, led by 6.4% growth in North America.
