InterBolt is scaling up its UK operations with a new larger premises, CNC machines and two new senior calibration engineers. The new digital bolt manufacturing facility will increase InterBolt’s production capacity tenfold.

Located in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, the 10,000 sq ft facility is five times larger than InterBolt’s previous facility. It has been equipped with two new CNC machines, including one of the latest generation machining centers from DN Solutions, to enable multiple piece workflow and 24/7 operation.

“The success of InterBolt since its launch in 2024 has been staggering, particularly in the global wind, rail and mining industries,” stated CTO Jack Hughleigh. “We are now the market leading wireless bolt load monitoring technology with the highest number of deployed devices.

“Our new manufacturing facility enables us to maintain our rapid growth, as well as offering dedicated areas for customer training and demonstrations.”

The InterBolt system provides “real time” bolt load measurements via a highly accurate miniature bolt load sensor embedded directly into the bolt or stud. The technology provides on-site bolt load measurements to ensure bolts are tightened accurately, as well as remote bolt load monitoring that eliminates the need for manual periodic inspection.
