Böllhoff expanded its presence in South America by acquiring Nutep S/A Indústria Metalúrgica, a fastener manufacturer based in Brazil.

Founded in 2005, Nutep employs 70 people to produce fasteners for the automotive industry.

The deal expands the German fastener manufacturer’s existing production capacities at Böllhoff Brasil near São Paulo.

“This acquisition reinforces the Böllhoff Group’s long-term commitment to South America,” stated Flavio Silva, CEO of the South America region at Böllhoff. “More importantly, it reflects our confidence in the region, in the capabilities of our people and in the value of building lasting relationships with customers and business partners.”

Germany-based Böllhoff is a fourth-generation family-run fastener group with 3,000 employees at 38 locations in 24 countries.
