Italian fastener producer Fontana Gruppo completed its acquisition of KAMAX Group for an undisclosed sum.

The deal strengthens Fontana’s European and global footprint with KAMAX’s fastener manufacturing presence in Germany, Spain, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland and China.

Founded in 1935, Homberg, Germany-based KAMAX reports over €700 million in annual sales from 2.8 billion fasteners and complex cold-formed parts. The group employs 3,000 people at 15 locations worldwide.

Following the transaction, Fontana will double in size, operating a total of 42 plants, employing more than 9,000 people, and generating approximately €2 billion in revenue.
