Fastenal reported direct fasteners/hardware (OEM) sales increased 16.8% to $501.2 million in the second quarter of 2026. Indirect fasteners/hardware (MRO) sales gained 14.6% to $231.5 million.

Those results included a 13% gain in direct fasteners/hardware (OEM) sales to $174.9 million (20.7% of overall sales) in June, while indirect fasteners/hardware (MRO) sales grew 15.5% to $79.4 million.

The latest results extend a record of fastener sales growth that began in July 2025 after two years of decline.

Overall Q2 sales increased 14.7% to $2.4 billion on improved contract signings, product pricing, and a modest improvement in industrial production. Daily sales rose 14.7% to $37.3 million.

Q2 gross profit improved 12.8% to $1.06 billion, while operating income rose 15.1% to $501.8 million and net income grew 15.9% to $382.8 million.

During the first half of 2026, sales gained 13.6% to $4.58 billion, with daily sales up 13.6% to $36.1 million. Gross profit improved 12% to $2.05 billion, while operating income climbed 14.4% to $949.4 million and net income increased 14.9% to $722.6 million.
