Fastenal reported fastener sales continued to grow in July, extending a record of growth that began in July 2025.

Direct fasteners/hardware (OEM) sales increased 14.6% to $172.6 million in July, while indirect fasteners/hardware (MRO) sales gained 13.6% to $76.8 million.
Consolidated sales climbed 15.5% to $825.8 million during the month, with daily sales rising 15.5% to $37.5 million.
Sales in the U.S. improved 14.8% to $682.1 million, while sales in Canada/Mexico increased 18.2% to $114.8 million, and “rest of world” sales climbed 21.4% to $28.9 million.
July sales to heavy manufacturing customers rose 18.7%, while other manufacturing sales climbed 12.5% and non-residential construction sales gained 16.9%.
Total personnel grew 1.4% to 24,702 during the month.
In the second quarter of 2026, direct fasteners/hardware (OEM) sales increased 16.8% to $501.2 million, while indirect fasteners/hardware (MRO) sales gained 14.6% to $231.5 million.
Pricing contributed approximately 290 basis points to Q2 sales improvement, down from 350 basis points in the opening quarter.
In July, president and chief sales officer Jeffery Watts became CEO, succeeding Dan Florness, who took over the role in 2015.
