Fastenal reported direct fasteners/hardware (OEM) sales increased 13.8% to $462.2 million in the opening quarter of 2026, driven by rising industrial demand in March. Indirect fasteners/hardware (MRO) sales gained 17.3% to $220.1 million.

In March, direct fasteners/hardware (OEM) sales increased 13.9% to $169.1 million (21.3% of overall sales) in March, while indirect fasteners/hardware (MRO) sales gained 15.6% to $79.4 million.

Overall monthly sales grew 16.8% to $794.1 million. Daily sales rose 11.5% to $36.1 million.

Sales in the U.S. improved 10.6% to $655.9 million (82.6% of overall sales), while sales in Canada/Mexico increased 13.9% to $109.6 million (13.8% of overall sales), and “rest of world” sales jumped 23.7% to $28.6 million (3.6% of overall sales).

March sales to heavy manufacturing customers rose 13.8%, while other manufacturing sales climbed 8.7% and non-residential construction sales gained 15.2%.

Total personnel grew 2% to 24,675 during the month.

Overall Q1 sales grew 12.4% to $2.2 billion. Daily sales increased 12.4%, primarily driven by share gains and broad-based demand across core end markets. Operating margin rose 20 basis points to 20.3%.
