Rick Delawder is being inducted into the Illinois Manufacturers’ Association Hall of Fame.

Delawder owns and operates SWD Inc., a second-generation, family-owned metal finishing, coating, and fastener-sorting facility in Addison, IL. Founded in 1980, SWD employs 150 people to operate its 200,000 sq ft facility.

He also served as board president of both The National Association for Surface Finishing and the Chicago Metal Finishers Institute, as well as chairing IMA’s Board of Directors from 2017–2019.

Delawder and other 2026 inductees will be honored during a ceremony on June 25 at the Westin Chicago Lombard.

Presented by the Illinois Manufacturers’ Association, this recognition honors individuals who have made a lasting impact on the manufacturing industry. Previous inductees include MacLean-Fogg Chairman Barry MacLean (2025) and Abraham Lincoln (2024), the only U.S. president with a patent.
