Wrought Washer Mfg., Inc. has acquired TurnaSure LLC. Financial terms were not disclosed.

“TurnaSure’s innovative Direct Tension Indicators (DTIs) and ViewTite Self-Indicators are now part of the Wrought Washer product family, enhancing the solutions we can offer you,” Wrought Washer stated.

TurnaSure traces its roots to the Turner Companies, founded in England in 1805 to manufacture guns. In 1912 the companies sold their gun making businesses and founded Cooper & Turner Ltd in Sheffield to develop industrial fastening systems and production methods, mainly for rivets.

In 1962, Max Turner of Cooper & Turner invented a load-indicating washer that helped the company become one of the largest fastener manufacturers in the UK.

TurnaSure was formed in 1988 as a wholly U.S. organization focused on manufacturing load indicating washers. Today's patented versions, all developed in the U.S., are known as Direct Tension Indicators (DTIs) or Tension Indicator Washers/Load Indicating Washers (LIWs). Web: turnasure.com
