Following a review, the Interdepartmental Commission on International Trade (ICIT) has repealed the antidumping measures on Ukrainian imports of steel fasteners (bolts, nuts and screws) from China.

The review of the AD measures was initiated by domestic producer PrJSC Druzhkivka Steel Products Plant following the expiration of their application period.

The Ministry of Trade and Industrial Policy notes that the continuation of AD measures on imports into Ukraine of Chinese steel fasteners is no longer in Ukraine’s national interest because the domestic manufacturer has suspended production since its facilities are located in an area where the Ukrainian military is battling an invasion of Russian forces.

Furthermore, the ICIT decision also cancels duties on similar products from Malaysia.

In 2020, following a complaint from the Druzhkivka Steel Products Plant, the ICIT imposed AD duties on Chinese steel fasteners ranging from 32.47% – to 67.4%.
