TR Fastenings Italy installed 1,395 solar panels on its 65,800 sq foot manufacturing facility in Umbria, FAST reports.

The photovoltaic panels, along with six inverters, are expected to generate 25-30% of the facility’s electricity, with annual output of 900,000 kWh.

In addition, the upgrade significantly reduced temperatures in production areas, according to FAST.

On weekends, TR Italy will be able to sell surplus energy back to the national grid.

The installation is under a 12-year lease agreement with fixed monthly payments.
