Threaded Fasteners, Inc. (TFI) has acquired Georgia-based Ricco Fasteners from president Elaine Guldin, who founded the company in 1998 along with the late Richard Guldin. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Ricco Fasteners becomes TFI's 17th branch - and third manufacturing location. TFI also operates manufacturing facilities in Semmes, AL, Tampa, FL, and Dallas, TX, to produce anchor bolts and specialty headed products.
“This acquisition may represent a significant step in our team as we continue to expand and invest in additional communities, but above all it is an opportunity for us to serve a member of our fastener community through carrying on the legacy that Elaine and Richard built,” stated TFI CEO Billy Duren.
The integration of Ricco Fasteners’ expertise and resources expands Threaded Fasteners’ product offerings in Georgia as they continue to add U.S. locations.
“This acquisition marks a milestone in our continued plans to invest in additional distribution and manufacturing locations across the country,” stated TFI COO Jerrad Douberly. “Together we plan to utilize the current wide range of Ricco’s inventory and manufacturing capabilities to further expand our product offerings to the Thomasville and greater Georgia area.”
Founded in 1979 by brothers-in-law Frank Martin and Steve Sholtis, TFI is a 100% employee-owned business that specializes in the manufacturing, custom packaging, and distribution of steel fasteners. With over 350 employee owners, TFI maintains over $16 million worth of inventory across 17 locations, to meet the global needs of customers from industries including electrical utilities, chemical and electrical, commercial marine construction, steel fabricators, metal building manufacturers and Department of Transportation (DOT) fabricators.
