Slidematic Precision Components is looking to expand in Rockford, IL.

The fastener manufacturer plans a 45,000 sq ft addition to its 190,000 sq ft facility, the Rockford Register Star reports.

“The plan is to continue to grow,” Slidematic president and founder Randy Baker told the Star. “We have several acquisitions we have made over the last few years. We are going to consolidate the offsite acquisitions into our campus.”

Plans include consolidation of two Rockford area locations into the main campus to improve efficiency. The family-owned and operated company will also expand, adding up to 25 operator and material handler jobs to it workforce of 320, according to the Star.

Baker said the addition should be under roof by winter and complete in the second quarter of 2025.

Under a development agreement, the city will reimburse Slidematic as much as a $500,000 and enable the company to purchase tax-free construction materials.
