
ITW reported Automotive OEM sales, including fasteners, dropped 3.3% to $772 million in the third quarter of 2024. Segment sales in North America slipped 6%, while sales in Europe decreased 6% and sales in China dropped 2%.
Q3 segment operating income reached $150 million, while margins improved 50 basis points to 19.4%.
Construction Products sales, including fasteners, hit a wall during the quarter, declining 8.1% to $479 million. Segment sales in North America dropped 10%, while sales in Europe fell 4% and Australia/New Zealand sales declined 11%.
Q3 segment operating income totaled $145 million, while margins rose 30 basis points to 30.2%.
Consolidated ITW revenue slipped 1.6% to $4 billion in Q3. Operating income totaled $1.05 billion, while operating margin were unchanged 26.5%.
Nine-month Automotive OEM sales dipped 0.7% to $2.4 billion. Segment operating income totaled $469 million, while margins gained 220 basis points to 19.5%.
