Iowa Fastener plans to break ground on a new distribution center in Ankeny in 2027.
The $12 million, 82,000 sq ft facility will be located near Iowa Fastener’s 35,000 sq ft leased warehouse, which continue to operate until the new DC is completed.
The expansion will keep pace with growing demand, according to GM Rick Parker. Iowa Fastener opened in 2019 with 10,000 sq ft, added 15,000 sq ft after just six months, and tacked on another 10,000 sq ft this year.
Iowa Fastener distributes nuts, bolts, clips, gaskets and O-rings to OEMs. The distributor is owned by Birmingham Fastener.
