Fastenal Co. reported weaker industrial product and lower pricing continued to hurt the company’s fastener sales in the second quarter of 2024.
Fastener sales fell 3% to $594 million (31% of overall sales) in the quarter. OEM fastener sales dropped 2.3% to $373.7 million (19.5% of overall sales) while MRO fastener sales declined 4.3% to $220.4 million (11.5% of overall sales).
