Fastenal Co. reported fastener sales grew 0.1% to $176 million (29.8% of overall sales) in November, marking the first time in 14 months that the company has achieved year-over-year growth with its fastener products.

Total November sales rose 1.5% to $590.7 million, boosted by strong growth from manufacturing customers.  Daily sales improved 3.4% to $29.5 million. Sales in the U.S. gained 2.3% to $480.3 million, while sales in Canada and Mexico increased 8.7% to $89.8 million.

By end market, sales to heavy manufacturing customers improved 4.1%, while sales to all other manufacturing customers increased 7.1%. Sales to non-residential construction customers dipped 1.7% during November.

Fastenal’s full time workforce increased 1.7% during the month to 20,750 employees. Distribution / transportation personnel grew 3.4% to 3,106, while manufacturing personnel increased 1.8% to 719 workers.

In the third quarter of 2024, Fastenal’s fastener sales fell 4% to $576.9 million. OEM fastener sales dropped 3.1% to $362.9 million, while MRO fastener sales declined 5.3% to $213.9 million. Web: fastenal.com
