Clarendon Specialty Fasteners acquired MGC Aerospace Ltd on October 1.

Since launching its fastener distribution business in 2021, UK-based MGC Aerospace has grown to include aerospace fasteners, hardware and consumables, with Airbus approval and 65,000 product lines.

Founders Gemma Tomkinson and Gary Tomkinson will continue to operate the business.

“This acquisition strengthens our position in the aerospace fastener market, expands our capabilities into the helicopter and rotary-wing sector, and adds real depth to our offering across the UK and European markets, stated Clarendon MD Paul Sanders.

In August, Clarendon relocated its U.S. headquarters from Long Beach, CA, to a new facility 30 miles east in Irvine.

The new building increases the company’s footprint by 30,000 sq ft.

Founded in 1982, London-based Clarendon Specialty Fasteners is a hardware distributor and placard manufacturer. PE firm Diploma PLC acquired Clarendon in 2021.
