Swedish fastener manufacturer Bufab has acquired VITAL SpA, an Italian distributor of C-parts, for €31.9 million (US$33.4 million).

Founded in 1975, Milan-based VITAL continues to be owned and managed by the founders’ sons. The €48 million company employs 57 workers to distribute C-parts for the electrical, machinery, rail and construction industries.

“VITAL (is) a great opportunity to build up our Italian footprint and increase our service level to the customers we are currently supporting there,” stated Bufab CEO Erik Lundén. “We will deepen our presence in Italy and southern Europe by learning from the VITAL team with great and long experience in the region.”

Founded in 1977, Bufab distributes fasteners and C-parts through more than 1,300 employees at 42 subsidiaries in 28 countries. Web: bufab.com
