Amid subdued demand, the Bossard Group continued its year of growth, expanding its market presence in Germany and Eastern Europe.

The Swiss fastener manufacturer has agreed to acquire fastener distributor Ferdinand Gross Group of Germany.

Founded in 1864 as an ironmongery, Leinfelden-Echterdingen-based Ferdinand Gross Group employs around 260 people and also operates locations in Hungary and Poland. The EUR 80 million group is managed by Gerald Hering, who leads the company in the fifth generation. Web: schrauben-gross.com

“The planned acquisition of the Ferdinand Gross Group not only brings together two companies with a long tradition, but also two strong partners who share common values and business philosophies,” stated CEO Daniel Bossard.

The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2025.

In September, Bossard acquired the French Aero Negoce International (ANI) Group, with locations in France, the U.S., and Malaysia.
