Mark Beaty is transitioning to retirement from Beawest Fasteners Inc., which he founded in 1985. He will be succeeded by his son, Craig Beaty.

Beatty started his fastener career upon high school graduation with his stepfather’s Seattle distributorship. He spent 10 years with John Perine and then Beaver Bolt.

“I walked into work one day and started thinking, ‘I can do this’,” Beaty recalled of his first thought of starting Beawest.

“I still enjoy calling on accounts,” Beaty said of his future role.

Craig Beaty started with Beawest after graduating from college. His initial role was accounts receivable and payable before advancing to VMI.
