Spartan Fastener acquired specialty fasteners and rivets supplier American Jebco for an undisclosed sum. The deal provides Spartan Fastener a broader product portfolio, increased manufacturing flexibility, and enhanced supply chain efficiency across North America.
Key leadership from American Jebco will remain in place, including sales VP Eddie O’Connor and materials manager Pete O’Connor.
Founded in 1903, Chicago-based American Jebco is a cold-heading manufacturer of highly specialized fastening components to the automotive, electronic, construction, fire safety and consumer products industries. In 2015, the company divested from standard, high-volume rivets to focus on specialty parts.
“The return of U.S.-based manufacturing, combined with our substantial production capacity, makes this the right time to join forces to capitalize on the opportunities in the fastener industry,” stated Spartan Fastener CEO Tim Cash.
Spartan Fastener actively seek acquisitions of fastener companies with greater than $3 million in annual revenues.
Founded in 1976 as Anderson Manufacturing, Trevor, WI-based Spartan Fastener supplies cold-formed engineered fasteners for the appliance/housewares, automotive, electronics, medical, and general manufacturing sectors. The company moved into a new 110,000 sq ft facility in 2019.
