Portland Bolt & Manufacturing Co., LLC completed a significant expansion of its Southeast manufacturing facility. The North Augusta, SC, location has grown from 25,000 sq ft to 62,500 sq ft, nearly tripling its footprint and enabling increased production capacity, enhanced service offerings, and improved lead times for customers across the Eastern U.S.

The expansion includes a state-of-the-art hot-dip galvanizing line designed to provide consistent, high-quality corrosion protection for Portland Bolt’s manufactured products. In addition to enhancing internal production capabilities, the new system allows Portland Bolt to offer galvanizing as a service for external partners across multiple industries, including construction, infrastructure, fabrication, utilities, and transportation.

The upgraded facility also features expanded cut-threading capabilities up to 2.5 inches in diameter, as well as new bending and welding operations, providing a comprehensive suite of fastener manufacturing services under one roof.

Completing this expansion strengthens Portland Bolt’s regional manufacturing capabilities while underscoring the company’s ongoing commitment to U.S.-based production and nationwide infrastructure needs.

Founded in 1912, Portland Bolt manufactures anchor bolts, nonstandard construction fasteners in Portland, OR; North Augusta, SC., Bellows Falls, VT; and Jordan, NY. The company’s fourth facility, Applied Bolting Technology in Bellows Falls, VT, manufactures Direct Tension Indicating (DTI) washers used in critical structural bolting applications.
