Optimas OE Solutions opened its new European headquarters in Hambach, France. The distribution hub replaces its Sarreguemines facility, enhancing Optimas’ investment in Europe while strengthening supply chain security and operational efficiency.
The new facility has a 6,000m² (65,000 sq ft) warehouse that can hold up to 9,500 pallets and 1,500m² of modern office space. Hambach is home to over 70 employees for sourcing, supply chain, engineering, quality, sales and operations teams, as well as a dedicated team providing products and services to the tunnel industry.
Since 2021, Optimas has seen significant growth in Europe and now supports over 500 customer locations across 30 countries, managing over 3,000 parts from 400 suppliers. In addition, over 70 tunnel projects are currently supported globally.
The facility is ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 accredited and supplies OEMs and tiers across many industries, including automotive, agriculture, heavy-duty truck, semiconductor capital equipment, and tunnel infrastructure.
“Our operations in Europe have grown considerably in the past few years, and this strategic investment enables us to meet our customers’ needs and provide further growth opportunities in the region,” stated CEO Mike Tuffy.
The opening of the facility also marked Optimas’ 10-year anniversary. Optimas was formed in 2015 when New York private equity firm American Industrial Partners acquired Anixter's OEM Supply Fasteners division at auction for $380 million cash.
Wood Dale, IL-based Optimas provides fasteners and c-class components and services to OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers in the automotive, agricultural, and medical equipment markets. The company operates locations in 19 U.S. states plus Mexico, Europe and Asia/Pacific.
