Fasteners and components manufacturer LoneStar Group expanded into Canada from its UK facilities.

LoneStar opened sites in Calgary and Toronto, promising order “integrity” for the oil & gas, power generation, nuclear, and heavy engineering sectors through overseas shipping.

While the company operates facilities in the U.S. (including in Sycamore, AL, Houston, and Moss Point, MS), the move appeared intended to avoid tariffs on U.S. products entering Canada.

Canada imposed the tariffs in response to U.S. President Donald Trump’s blanket 25% tax on all imports from Canada. Likewise, many Canadians are boycotting U.S. products.

“With fully certified UK-origin products, LoneStar is here to help ensure the integrity of your assets and projects,” the Group stated on LinkedIn.

Fastener companies owned by LoneStar include AmeriBolt, LoneStar Fasteners and Walker Bolt.
