Kanebridge Corporation is marking 50 years since its founding by Joe McGrath and Bobby Williams in July 1975.

Kanebridge initially operated out of a 350 sq ft garage in Bloomfield, NJ, supplying OEMs in the northern New Jersey and New York metropolitan area. In 1977 Kanebridge grew to a 10,000 sq ft warehouse.

By 1982 Kanebridge focused on selling to distributors only, and by 1983 all business functions were computerized.  A second branch was opened in southern California in 1985 and the third was in Addison, IL, in 1987.

All products became  traceable by 1988. In the late 1990’s, Kanebridge expanded into stainless, metric and military fasteners. Since 2000, Kanebridge has added multiple finishes.

Kanebridge printed its last catalog in 2023 and launched a new website. In 2024 its U.S.-made socket products were rebranded “American Sockets.”

Many employees have 20 to 40 years with Kanebridge, topped by marketing manager Vic LaPoma’s 46 years. Today Kanebridge is headquartered in a 120,000-sq-ft facility in Elgin, IL. Kanebridge stocks 43,0000 items.
