Italian fastener producer Fontana Gruppo has acquired a controlling stake in India-based Right Tight Fasteners for $117 million.
As part of the deal, RTF will also acquire Fontana’s existing operations in India, making it one of the country’s largest fastener manufacturers.
Founded in 1979, Right Tight Fasteners manufactures bolts, nuts, screws for OEMs, with 5 plants in India.
In June 2025, Fontant Gruppo acquired Utica, MI-based fastener manufacturer MNP Corporation.
Founded in 1952 by Loris and Walter Fontana, Fontana Gruppo is a $1.5 billion company employing over 6,000 people to operate 32 locations — including 26 factories — across Europe, the Americas, and India. Fastener companies include Acument Global Technologies (formerly Textron Fastening Systems), Saturn Fasteners, and Camcar.
