Fastener sales strengthened at Fastenal Co. in November.

Fastener sales rose 14.6% last month, improving from 12.8% growth in October. Fastenal has reported double-digit fastener sales gains since July.

Consolidated sales rose 6.2% to $627.5 million, including an 11.8% gain in daily sales to $33 million. Sales in the U.S. gained 11.9%, while sales in Canada and Mexico increased 7.8%.

By end market, November sales to heavy manufacturing customers increased 13%, while sales to all other manufacturing customers climbed 12.9%. Sales to non-residential construction customers grew 8.4% during the month.

Fastenal’s full time workforce increased 3.5% to 21,701 employees. Distribution / transportation personnel grew 5.5% to 3,142, while manufacturing personnel increased 4.4% to 967.
