Fastenal Co. fastener sales continued its six-month streak of positive gains in July.

Fastener sales jumped 14.6% to $219.5 million in July, beating the company’s overall sales growth rate of 12.8%.

Consolidated sales in July rose $714.9 million, including a 12.8% gain in daily sales to $32.5 million. Sales in the U.S. gained 13.1%, while sales in Canada and Mexico increased 9.1%.

By end market, July sales to heavy manufacturing customers improved 13.6%, while sales to all other manufacturing customers increased 14.2%. Sales to non-residential construction customers rose 5%.

Fastenal’s full time workforce increased 3.3% during June to 21,636 employees. Distribution / transportation personnel grew 5.4% to 3,012, while manufacturing personnel increased 6.7% to 969 workers.
