Fasteners and tools supplier SouthernCarlson, Inc. has been acquired by Truelink Capital, a Los Angeles-based private equity firm, from Kyocera Corp. of Japan. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Founded in 1947, Omaha, NE-based SouthernCarlson operates eight distribution centers and 115 local stores, stocking 67,000 SKUs for 50,000 professional customers. SouthernCarlson was acquired by Kyocera in 2019.

SouthernCarlson will transition into an independent company.

Truelink will invest in SouthernCarlson’s growth through a combination of commercial and operational initiatives and M&As.

The deal marks Truelink’s 10th platform acquisition since its founding in 2022.
