Chicago Rivet & Machine Co. appointed James T. Tanner as Senior VP of Sales and Marketing. Tanner, 56, replaces Bill Stlaske, who left the company earlier in 2025.
His 30-year career includes more than a decade of fastener industry experience at Maclean-Fogg Component Solutions. Tanner holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Lawrence Technological University.
“Jim brings a wealth of knowledge and experience not only in fasteners but a diverse range of products and services in multiple industries,” stated CEO Gregory Rizzo. “We are confident that his leadership will guide our sales efforts to the next level, building on existing customer relationships and developing new customers and value streams.”
Chicago Rivet & Machine Co. reported fastener segment revenues dropped 18% to $23.2 million in 2024 as U.S. demand for pickup trucks and large SUVs softened. Fastener segment sales to automotive customers fell 20% to $15.4 million, while sales to non-automotive customers declined 12% to $7.8 million.
