Swedish fastener manufacturer Bulten AB welcomed its new President and CEO, Axel Berntsson.

“Axel brings extensive experience from leading global industrial companies, with a strong background in change management and creating long-term shareholder value,” Bulten stated. “We are confident that his leadership will open up new opportunities in customer segments and markets, paving the way for future growth and achievements.”

Most recently Berntsson served as President and CEO of Absolent Air Care Group. Prior to that he was CEO of the subsidiary Absolent AB for two years. He also has experience from senior roles within the companies ESAB and CPS Color, and has worked as a management consultant.

Berntsson holds an MSc in Industrial Engineering and Management from Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Bulten’s Board appointed Berntsson, 45, in July 2024.

He replaces Anders Nyström, who left the company in early February after five years in those positions. Current Board member Christina Hallin served as interim CEO and president until Berntsson took over at Bulten.
