Long Island, NY-based Bay Fastening Systems has been acquired by the Ficodis Group. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 1969, Bay Fastening Systems is a factory-authorized master distributor of engineered fasteners, serving as the leading partner for such domestic and international brands as Howmet’s Huck, Marson and Recoil lines, Stanley Engineered Fastening (POP, Avdel, Nelson, Camcar), AVK Inserts, Penn Engineering (Atlas-Sherex Rivetnuts), Kato Coilthread Inserts, Gesipa Fasteners, FAR, Gage Bilt Tools, and Lobster Tools.
“Bay Fastening Systems has built a legacy of trust and expertise in fastening solutions, and we are excited for this new chapter with Ficodis,” said Cliff Bernard, CEO, and Michael Eichinger, COO, of Bay Fastening Systems, who continue in their roles within the Ficodis Group. “Our digital leadership and expansive distributor network create immense growth opportunities, and through Ficodis, we will extend our reach and bring even greater value to our industry partners.”
The transaction was part of a two-acquisition deal by Ficodis that included Canada-based MacMor Industries, which specializes in safety, tooling, and material handling. MacMor president Arthur Roy continues in his position.
“This double acquisition allows us to accelerate the expansion of our range of products, solutions, and services, which can all be tailored to the needs of manufacturers, industries and construction companies across Canada and the United States”, stated Christophe Bévillard, President of the Ficodis Group. “Not only do we again diversify our offering, we also continue to build a stronger presence in both countries.”
Founded in 2010, Ficodis is a multi-specialized industrial supply distribution group headquartered in Montreal.
