Fastener supplier Alabama Aerospace is one of six Alabama companies currently on a trade mission to Poland.

This week, Alabama Aerospace — which has worked with NASA and other U.S. government agencies — is engaging in high-level discussions and business-to-business meetings with Polish government officials, companies and industry leaders. The six-company delegation is focused on aerospace, defense, safety and security — key sectors in which Alabama firms have the potential to establish partnerships that tap into an expanding European market.

“Poland has emerged as a key player in the aerospace and defense industries, with strong demand for cutting-edge technologies, advanced manufacturing and security solutions,” said Christina Stimpson, Chief Officer of Global Business for the Alabama Department of Commerce.

“This trade mission offers an invaluable opportunity to connect with Polish industry leaders, strengthen international partnerships and create new business opportunities that will benefit our state’s economy.”

Stimpson emphasized that Poland’s aggressive investment in modernizing its defense capabilities and expanding its aerospace sector makes it an attractive market for Alabama Aerospace the other participating firms.

In 2024, Alabama’s exports to Poland approached $270 million, led by transportation equipment (including aerospace products and parts), minerals and ores, paper, machinery, and chemicals.

The Alabama delegation arrived in Warsaw on Sunday to meet with Polish military officials and commercial business leaders throughout the week. The delegation plans to depart on Saturday.

Founded in 1995, Huntsville, AL-based Alabama Aerospace is a Birmingham Fastener subsidiary that distributes aerospace, military and commercial fasteners, as well as electromechanical components.
