AFC Industries is consolidating several warehouses and distribution centers to advance its “hub and spoke” operations model at a 164,000 sq ft facility in Des Moines, IA.

The site includes three distinct office spaces totaling 8,700 sq ft, with the primary office off the main entrance that includes cubicles and private offices, restrooms, a conference room, a break room and a quality control lab. A second office space is located near the middle of the warehouse, while a small shipping and receiving office is located at the rear of the facility near the dock doors.

The facility contains 9 dock levelers, including two oversized 6x10 levelers for forklifts moving heavy product pallets between the dock and truck.

Cincinnati-based AFC provides supply chain management for fasteners, tooling and assembly components to OEMs. AFC services include VMI, stock and release programs, light assembly, kitting and private labeling.
