AFC Industries acquired Signature Engineered Solutions (SES), a provider of highly engineered fasteners, components and application solutions near Chicago. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The acquisition strengthens AFC’s engineered component capabilities while adding technical expertise and longstanding relationships with manufacturers in the engineered fastener market.

“SES is a great example of the type of business we want to add to AFC,” said CEO Kevin Godin. “They have strong customer relationships, deep application expertise and a team that understands how to create value well beyond supplying a part.”

Aurora, IL- based SES supplies specialty threaded products, metal and plastic fasteners, clips, clamps, springs, rivets and precision machined components to OEMs in the automotive, heavy truck, heavy equipment, construction, energy, electrification, HVAC and power generation markets.

SES also provides third-party logistics services for industrial manufacturers and distributors, including warehousing and inventory management, order fulfillment, import and supplier consolidation, kitting, labeling, light assembly, inspection and custom packaging.

Cincinnati-based AFC provides supply chain management for fasteners, tooling and assembly components.
